Tim Harjo

Tim Harjo is the new Transit Coordinator for the Seminole Nation. He was raised in Ada, by his Seminole father and Chickasaw mother, Moses and Hattie (Alexander) Harjo.

Tim was previously employed as Cultural Resource Preservation Coordinator for the Chickasaw Nation. He was weaving stomp dance belts and traditional rugs, and making cradle boards at the age of 10. Carrying on the traditional crafts and teaching them to others is Tim’s life, and it has taken him many different places.

Tim has been instrumental in the planning and operation of the new transit system, and will be a valuable asset to other cultural activities and tribal programs.

 

Captin Wm. Williams

Captain William Williams joined the Seminole Nation Lighthorse in March. He is a graduate of both Seminole High School and Seminole State College, where he earned an associates degree in Criminal Justice. He began his law enforcement career in 1998 with the Seminole Police Department, and also worked two years for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Captain Williams is a former licensed Minister with the Pentecostal Church of God, and currently attends the Bowlegs First Assembly of God Church. He is the son of Willie Gale and Tammy Coker Williams, and is married with three daughters.

 

 

Sergeant Keith Miller

Sergeant Keith Miller also joined the Seminole Lighthorse in March. He is a graduate of Holdenville High School and Seminole State College, where he earned an associates degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds an intermediate C.L.E.E.T. certification.

He has served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, 5 years with the Holdenville P.D., 2 years as Domestic Violence Investigator for Hughes Co., 3 years with the Oklahoma Health Science Center P.D., and 2 years as Advisor for the Afghanistan National Police in Jalalabad.

Sergeant Miller and his wife, Janesa, have a daughter, Jaylan, and a son, Kayson.

 

Cheri Hardeman

Cheri Hardeman is the new client advocate with the Seminole Nation Domestic Violence Program.

She has worked in this field for two years, and enjoys helping families.

Cheri received her certification in domestic violence and sexual assault through OCADVSA, and holds an associates degree in Behavioral Sciences from Seminole State College.

Currently, she attends East Central University, where she is pursuing a degree in Social Work.

Cheri is a Seminole tribal member of the Tusekia Harjo band and Wind clan.
