The Dawes Commission - An Original Play by Bob Hicks
On Saturday, September 21, 2013, during Seminole Nation Days, the tribe will present The Dawes Commission, an original play by Bob Hicks. The play, performed entirely in the Mvskoke language (with English subtitles), will be featured twice at the Mekusukey Mission Council House - 12:30 p.m to 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Seminole Nation Days Vendor Registration
The 45th Annual Seminole Nation Days Festival will be held September 20-22, 2013. We are having another great celebration. Entertainers have not yet been announced.
An application and the rules/regulations for vendors are listed below. Applications for vendor spaces are due no later than August 24. There will be separate areas for food vendors, arts/crafts booths, and Tribal Band/Family Reunion spaces. Space assignments will be made after all applications are received, and confirmation letters will be sent out on or before September 4. To view the entire flyer click on the "Read More" button.
Seminole Nation Days Pow Wow
The Seminole Nation Days Pow Wow will be held Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Mekusukey Mission Arena. Gourd dancing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Grand Entry will begin at 6:00 p.m. All adult categories will be awarded $300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place. Chance Rush will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Seminole Nation Days Baby Pageant
The Seminole Nation Days 8th Annual Baby Pageant will take place at the Seminole State College Haney Center on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Entry is open to the general public, and all contestants will receive a trophy and gift.

Seminole Nation Days Princess Pageant
The Annual Seminole Nation Days Princess Pageant will take place Thursday, September 19, 2013. The Princess Committee is accepting applications through August 30, 2013. To download an application, click the link below.

Seminole Nation Days Parade
The Seminole Nation Days Parade will be held September 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Seminole. If you wish to be in the parade, click the entry form below to get started. Also, see the parade rules form. If you have any questions call 405-382-2743.
Seminole Nation Days Intertribal Stompdance
The intertribal stompdance will be held Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Mekusukey Mission Grounds. Supper for invited guests and head staff is at 5:30 p.m. Dancing begins at 7:00 p.m.
A 7-3 Co-Ed Tournament will be held the weekend before Nation Days - September 14-15, 2013 at the Mekusukey Mission Softball Complex. Entry fee is $125 per team.
The 2013 Seminole Nation Days Fast Pitch Tournament will be held September 21-22, 2013 at the Mekusukey Mission Softball Complex. Entry fee is $200 per team.
Registration deadline for both tournaments is Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
The 2013 Seminole Nation Days 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be held Saturday, September 21 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole ("The Bridge"). Teams are open gender and rosters are limited to four participants in three separate age divisions (12-14, 15-17 and 18 and up).

The horseshoe tournament will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Mekusukey Mission Pits. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m., and the tournament starts at 11:30 a.m. The entry fee will be $10 for doubles and $5 for singles.
5K Run/1 Mile Walk
The Seminole Nation Days annual 5K run/1 mile walk will be held at the Mekusukey Mission Grounds on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Walkers will start at 7:30 a.m. and runners will start at 8:00 a.m.
Traditional Dress Contest
The Traditional Dress Contest will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 3 p.m. The contest will be located at the Mekusukey Mission Arena Stage.
The shoot will take place Saturday, September 21, 2013. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the competition starts at 8:00 a.m. Traditional and Primitive bows ONLY Adults: $10 and Youth: $5
Frybread Eating Contest
The Frybread Eating Contest will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Mekusukey Mission Arena State. Sign up at the Seminole Nation Days Registration Booth before 2 p.m. Event Starts at 2 p.m. Entry fee is $10. The person to eat the most frybread in 5 minutes wins $300! 9th Annual Fishing Derby
The Fishing Derby will be held Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Mekusukey Mission Pond from 8 a.m. to noon. Please pick up the pre-registration form at the Seminole Nation Housing Authority office.
