NEW MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION

New motor vehicle registrations must be done in person by the Tribal Member. If the tribal member is not able to register their vehicle, then they must fill out an “authorization for registration” form naming a person authorized to do the registration. The Motor Vehicle Application must be filled out completely, or it will not be accepted.

The following is a list of REQUIRED DOCUMENTS you MUST HAVE for new motor vehicle registration(s).
  • TITLE to vehicle,
    *** Make sure the seller puts the buyers name & address; buyer and seller both print & signs their name, and seller has it notarized.

  • BILL OF SALE or SALES CONTRACT,
    *** If you buy a vehicle from an individual, you will need a notarized Bill of Sale, which will need to list Buyer’s name, VIN #, Year, Make, Model, Price of vehicle, and Seller will need to sign their name. We have a Bill of Sale form, you may pick up at our office.

  • LIEN ENTRY FORM (if applicable),
    *** The Tribal member’s name MUST be on the Lien Entry Form.

  • SEMINOLE NATION TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP CARD-(NOT THE CDIB CARD),
    ***PLEASE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP CARD, PLEASE CONTACT THE TRIBAL ENROLLMENT OFFICE FOR REPLACEMENT.

  • ORIGINAL OKLAHOMA INSURANCE VERIFICATION NO COPIES WILL BE ACCEPTED),
    *** WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT FAXED COPIES DIRECTLY FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY.

  • PAPER TAG-IF APPLICABLE.


REGISTRATION RENEWAL

RENEWING IN PERSON:
  1. Current Oklahoma Insurance verification
  2. Vehicle Tag #
RENEWING BY MAIL:
  1. Current Oklahoma Insurance verification
  2. Write tag # on check or money order
  3. Self-addressed stamped envelope
  4. Check or Money order

DUPLICATE TITLE

  1. Tribal member will need to come into office and fill out “Motor Vehicle Lost Certificate of Title Affidavit”.
  2. Pay fee of $5.
  3. Can be issued only to tribal member’s name originally issued to.

TO ADD OR REMOVE NAME(S) ON TITLE

  • WITH A LIEN:
    You will need a letter from the lien holder giving permission to add or remove name(s) on titles. The letter must be on company letterhead listing vehicle information.


  • WITHOUT A LIEN:
    The tribal member can fill out a “TO ADD” or “TO REMOVE” name on a title form, we have in our office.

PERSONALIZED TAGS

  1. FILL OUT PERSONALIZED TAG APPLICATION.
  2. Fee is $30, ADD $3.00 if you want it mailed.
Personalized tags usually takes 4-6 weeks to come in.
You can order your personalized tag using the following examples:
  • 6 or less with turtle on left side:
    License Tag, Turtle on Left
  • 3 or less on each side with turtle in middle:
    Licese Tag, Turtle in Middle
  • 7 or less with NO turtle:
    License Tag, No Turtle
PLEASE MAKE YOUR CHECK OR MONEY ORDER OUT TO:

SN Revenue Account

Please write the following information on your check:
  1. Driver's License Number
  2. Driver's License Expiration Date
  3. Date of Birth
Please make sure we have a current mailing address on file.

If you sell, trade-in, or give away your vehicle with a Seminole Nation tag on it, please take the tag off and mail or drop off at our office so you will not be listed as owner of that vehicle.

If a vehicle you have is registered with the SN BCR Commission is not drivable, broke down, or just not running, you may fill out an “UNROADWORTHY AFFIDAVIT” and you will not have to pay late charges from the time we receive the affidavit, after the 30-day grace period. If we do not have an “unroadworthy affidavit” on file, then you will be responsible for paying the penalties.
